Our Moulding Processes

At our foundry, we specialise in multiple casting techniques selected to meet various manufacturing requirements. Our approach combines traditional and specialised methods to deliver high-quality metal components across various industries. We leverage green sand casting as our primary process, providing robust solutions for small to medium production needs augmented by molasses sand casting. These foundational techniques are complemented by our capabilities in shell moulding, CO2 cured and ester cured no bake/air set moulding processes, which allow us to tackle smaller production runs for large or intricate parts with exceptional precision and quality.

 

Green Sand Casting

A versatile and cost-effective traditional method, green sand casting uses clay-bonded sand to create reliable metal parts. This technique accommodates a wide range of metal alloys and part designs, providing consistent results for various manufacturing requirements.

Molasses Sand Casting

Utilizing molasses-based sand mixtures, this method offers enhanced mold flexibility and superior performance for complex geometries. The process ensures excellent surface finish and ok dimensional accuracy, making it ideal for intricate metal component production.

Specialized Production Techniques

Shell Moulding

Designed for precision casting of smaller components, shell moulding uses thin, shell-like molds created from resin-coated sand. This method delivers exceptional dimensional tolerance and smoother surface finishes, perfect for high-quality part production.

CO2 Cured Moulding

Our CO2 cured moulding process enables rapid mold preparation for small production runs. By using carbon dioxide for quick curing, we can efficiently support rapid prototyping and low-volume manufacturing needs.

Ester Cured Moulding

Employing an advanced ester curing technique, this process provides enhanced mold strength and excellent dimensional stability. It is particularly optimal for creating complex, thin-walled metal components with tight tolerances.
